The first quarter of 2025 has been nothing short of transformational for SHIFT Enterprise Academy.

We kicked off 2025 strong with SHIFT Launch Pad, setting our community up for success with practical lessons on time management, financial planning, and mindset. We expanded our reach with SHIFT Tours & Travel, hosting an unforgettable trip through Uganda, proving once again that East Africa isn’t just a destination—it’s a launch pad for opportunity. And we took a major step toward our vision with the SHIFT Forward Centers, securing our first property in Kampala. This is just the beginning.

Attendance & Engagement:

Over 60 ambitious minds from across the diaspora participated in our immersive three-day event.

Post-event surveys revealed that 92% of participants intend to apply the financial planning strategies they learned.

Agenda & Impact:

Day 1 – Time Management: Participants learned techniques that 85% reported immediately improved their daily routines.

Day 2 – Financial Planning for the Year: Interactive sessions equipped attendees with actionable plans for sustained financial health.

Day 3 – Maintaining the Mindset of a Champion: Inspiring talks and group activities left our community energized and ready to tackle challenges.

Uganda Bucket List Trip

Uganda is known as the “Pearl of Africa” for its pristine weather, picturesque terrains, kind people, and fresh food. Uganda is a land of opportunity. Come for a visit. Stay for a good life.

In February, a couple from the United States joined us on a journey to Western Uganda.

Highlights included exploring the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and a scenic float along the Kazinga Channel near Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Wildlife & Adventure

Our group encountered hyenas, elephants, lions, and crocodiles—all while enjoying lodging with breathtaking views.

🏢 Breaking Ground: SHIFT Forward Centers Set to Transform Uganda’s Entrepreneurial Landscape

SHIFT Forward Centers will serve as hubs of innovation, entrepreneurship, and learning, creating a physical space where community members can collaborate and grow.

Expansion Milestone

We have secured a contract to purchase a six (6) story office building in Kampala, Uganda, earmarked as the first SHIFT Forward Center.

Timeline & Vision

We expect to close on the property by May 1, with a grand opening scheduled for June 19.

Next Gen Robotics x SHIFT Enterprise Academy Partnership

🤖 The Future is Now: Empowering Youth in STEM from Texas to Uganda

Youth Empowerment Initiative

In our growing partnership with Next Gen Robotics, we are launching a pilot program targeting 90 youth for hands-on learning in robotics, critical thinking, and problem solving.

Global Reach

Next Gen Robotics is set to compete in the First Lego League Tournament in Cape Town, South Africa, in May—a testament to the caliber of talent emerging from our programs.

Cross-Cultural Collaboration

By bridging our relationship with MrsRosesBabies in Texas and Next Gen Robotics in Uganda, we are creating a platform where young minds can break barriers, learn vital STEM skills, and develop essential soft skills.
